Package ‘A’ plus Aerodynamic assessment through on track data logging with load transducers. POA
This advanced service is applicable in circumstances where:
- The client’s car generates substantial aerodynamic downforce, particularly through it’s underbody and diffuser.
- The car’s cornering and braking performance is dominated by it’s aerodynamics.
- Wind tunnel or CFD data is unavailable.
Details of Service
- GSD will perform the full Package ‘A’ analysis – as a ‘first cut’ exercise. On completion, our engineer will install and calibrate a portable data logging system with load transducers attached to suspension push rods, pull rods or rocker arms.
- GSD will attend a test day with the client, at a race circuit, MIRA or a suitable airfield venue, if noise restrictions permit. Straight line runs are sufficient. GSD will record suspension / wheel load data at varying speeds, with varying ride heights, rake and aerofoil settings.
- Utilising the data from 2) above, GSD will ‘rerun’ the Package ‘A’ analysis and provide a full report and recommendations.
